The impact they can have comes in a multitude of ways: photos can entertain, transport, clarify, manipulate, delight, startle, motivate, calm, amuse, prove, inform, flatter, destroy, remind, shock, document…
They’re snapshots – a cut through the time line, that allow us to watch already gone situations from a specific angle – and experience it newly in our mind.
That’s the most fascinating thing with photos: through visual stimulation they fire up thoughts and feelings in ourselves in the blink of an eye, that could otherwise be created only much more slowly through speech or music. That is where the old adage “A picture is worth a thousand words” comes from.

Why this photo blog?
Here I give some insights into my view of the world that surrounds myself. I’d like to take you with me on a journey and go a little way together. If I can inspire, give you food for thought or just make you smile at times, I have reached my goal.
